As part of the university’s Fall Family Weekend festivities, the Virginia Tech Police Department will host its seventh annual Community Day celebration on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Students, employees, and the general public were invited to attend to learn more about the award-winning and nationally-accredited police department.

The free event, will take place on Virginia Tech's Drillfield and will include activities for people of all ages including drunk goggle carts to simulate 
driving under the influence, a donut eating contest, two obstacle courses, "Dunk-A-Cop," and blood donations.

Participants will also have the opportunity to view demonstrations from Virginia Tech's Emergency Response Team, K-9 Team, and Rescue Squad; the Blacksburg Fire and Police departments; the Montgomery County Sherriff's Office; Christiansburg Police; and the Carillion Lifeguard helicopter crew.
