The Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) System is a program offered to female students and employees at Virginia Tech.
The four-part course begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance, and progresses to the basics of hands-on defense training. Participants learn self-defense tactics and techniques.
The free course is taught by Virginia Tech Police Department officers and is offered several times a year.

- Spring 2018 R.A.D. Session II (Thursdays, Mar. 15, 22, 29, Apr. 5)
Classes meet from 6-9 p.m. in the Residence Life Resource Officer Community Center, on the first floor of Dietrick Hall. There is an exterior entrance on the east side of the building.
