Rape Aggression Defense System (R.A.D. for Women)
The Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) System is a program offered to female students and employees at Virginia Tech.
The four-part course begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance, and progresses to the basics of hands-on defense training. Participants learn self-defense tactics and techniques.
The free course is taught by Virginia Tech Police Department officers and is offered several times a year.

- Save the Date! Hold the Spring 2022 RAD session dates on your calendar and registration will open in early December:
- Class 1: Tuesdays - February 1, 8, 15, and 22
- Class 2: Wednesdays - March 16, 23, 30 and April 6
