Virginia Tech Exchange Zone
The Virginia Tech Police Department has created an Exchange Zone in order to provide a neutral area to exchange goods in an effort to reduce the risk involved with e-commerce purchases or the exchange of items.
Located at the Public Safety Building (330 Sterrett Drive), the Exchange Zone features 3 parking spots, which are under video recording. Spots are located in front of the building and are marked with designated signs.
How does it Work?
· Exchange Zone is free to use and on a first come first served basis.
· Exchanges can also be made in the lobby or seating area of the PD.
· Arrange the meeting in advance between the parties.
· Park in the designated spots in front of the building.
· Bring only necessary items for the exchange.
· If wanted, call 540-231-6411 (press 1) to let us know you are there.
· Police presence is not required for exchanges, but can be requested.
· Report emergencies at the Security Center window or call 911.
